Design, Engineering And Construction Assistance Services For the Union City Bus Garage and Terminal. Question Deadline 10/20/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Project Description : As a part of the NJ TRANSIT's initiative for its Zero Emission Bus (ZEB) program the proposed Union City Bus Garage and Terminal project will be designed and constructed to support battery electric buses (BEB). This facility will include a bus garage facility with modern equipment, which will house a NJ TRANSIT BEB fleet, will include a customer facing terminal for various bus lines serving the nearby community, nominal management office space, limited employee vehicle parking, electric supply infrastructure, light bus maintenance and parts storage, and other related elements to make this facility efficient and modern. The scope of this solicitation involves the design and engineering of the elements including the following: a. A resilient building that is energy efficient, functional, ADA compliant, sustainable, and architecturally and functionally fits within the character of the area and develops a 'brand' for NJ TRANSIT's future facilities of this type. b. BEB storage facility c. BEB maintenance facility with complementary equipment d. Parts Storage room e. Passenger terminal with bus berths, customer waiting area, ADA compliant restrooms, service desk f. Management office area g. Bus Operator welfare room with Lockers, and restrooms with showers for male and female h. Parking facility for employees i. Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing systems for the facility j. Access control and video surveillance k. Customer communication systems - ADA compliant l. Electrical infrastructure for BEB charging m. Bus washing facility n. IT and electrical rooms o. Janitorial room p.
