Sealed bids will be received by the City of Union City, Hudson County, New Jersey for the "2023 2024 SNOW REMOVAL AND POST-STORM SERVICES" for all streets, city-wide, and various City parking facilities. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary and/or required to provide snow plowing, snow removal, snow hauling and snow disposal services for a period between November 2, 2023 to April 15, 2024. Multiple contractors will be utilized by the Union City Department of Public Works (DPW) to ensure coverage of the City of Union City. Contract Documents for the proposed work, which have been prepared by Carl O'Brien, P.E., P.P., C.M.E, C.P.W.M., of the firm Colliers Engineering & Design, Inc. (dba Maser Consulting), are available electronically or via delivery by common carrier beginning on Thursday, October 19, 2023 by making a request to beverly.talmadge@collierseng.com and carl.obrien@collierseng.com and will be on file at the below date in the City of Union City, City Hall, 3715 Palisade Avenue, Union City, NJ 07087. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents by request upon proper notice to the above e-mail address. The bid proposal packages will not be available for pickup. In the e-mail message, the contractor shall indicate if they request an electronic copy (PDF format) or paper copy. Otherwise, paper copies will be sent via USPS. Bids must be made on the Proposal Form, in its' entirety (print clearly- the requested equipment information) in the manner designated therein and must be enclosed, three (3) copies in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the City of Union City, City Hall, 3715 Palisade Avenue, Union City, New Jersey 07087. Bidders will be notified directly by the Department of Public Works (DPW) of their contract status. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
