Project Description: This contract is for the construction of a liquid copper ion pesticide distribution system to treat the raw water system within the Oahe hydroelectric powerhouse. The desired Copper Based Pesticide (CBP) distribution system will consist of base mounted metering pump assemblies' w/ PLC controller, flexible tubing, and stainless-steel rigid tubing with compression type tube fittings. Each dosing system will be fed from a central where the liquid copper-based pesticide solution will be stored in a 2000 gallon, double walled, stainless steel tank. The CBP will be plumbed to injection ports (w/ injection quill) located in the upstream piping at the 10" raw water intake strainer at each of seven (7) generator units. As a part of the base bid, the raw water piping and valves upstream of the strainers will be replaced. This new piping will include new valves and chemical injection ports and fittings for other equipment such as flow meters.
