To replace the Roof Systems and the Solar Farm in the Orange County Convention Center, Phase V (North-South Building), with the exception of the Vaulted Roof areas at the North and South entrances, North and South Bus Canopies and the North Kitchen Roof. Orange County exercises the rights and privileges conveyed to it by the State of Florida, and the Orange County Charter. It presently operates with an elected chief executive officer, Orange County Mayor, and six elected district commissioners, who together comprise the Board of County Commissioners. Procurement is an essential function of the County, affecting all operational departments, ongoing projects and future initiatives. The Procurement Division is divided into three (3) Sections, the "Buying Section", the "Purchasing Section" and the "Contracts Section". The Orange County Procurement Division operates under the leadership of Carrie Mathes, MPA, NIGP-CPP, CFCM, CPPO, CPPB as Procurement Division Manager and Chief Procurement Official in accordance with the Orange County Ordinance. Question Deadline 07/05/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Roofing: For all areas in the scope of work, the roofing is to be replaced. See Sheet G01 on the project plans for a detailed list of specific scope of work by roof area. a) Demolition: Remove existing roof membrane, flashings, coping, edge metals, gutters and downspouts to be replaced as shown in the details provided. Existing rigid insulation is to remain for all roof areas, with the exception of drainage crickets that are to be replaced. b) New roofing system: Add 2" of non-tapered rigid insulation over existing insulation for roof areas designated on Sheet G01 of the plans. For all roof areas, install 1/2 " cover board. Mechanically fasten 80 mil PVC single-ply roofing. Install new edge metals, flashings, coping, gutters and downspouts as shown in the details provided. B. Mechanical: Remove and replaced existing fans and fan curbs as specified and shown in the details provided. C. Lightning Protection: Install new lighting protection system as specified. D. Plumbing: All roof drainage is to be replaced with new, including new elbows below roof deck. a) Primary Drains: Remove existing roof drains and install new as shown in the project details, connecting to existing piping below deck, which shall remain. b) Secondary Drainage: Remove existing overflow roof drains and install new as shown in the project details, connecting to existing piping below deck, which shall remain. E. Electrical and Solar Power: In addition to electrical work that coincides with new mechanical equipment, the existing solar power array is to be replaced and improved. a) Demolition: Existing solar panels are to be removed by the contractor, palletized, and moved to the staging area to the far East of the property for others to pick up and take offsite for reuse. All support stands, conduit, and wiring are to be demolished. See the demolition plans for more detail. b) Installation: Install new solar array with new layout identified in the project plans and specifications, along with related accessories. F. Structural: Provide new stair access platforms for all roof access doors, along with two single door locations identified on the plans that are to be widened to be double doors.
