The Town of Plainville acting through its Town Council, hereinafter called the Owner, will receive sealed Bids for Contract 2020-08E/LOTCIP 109-0003, Townline Road Reconstruction at the Office of the Town Manager, Municipal Center, One Central Square, Plainville, Connecticut then at said place publicly opened and read aloud. No The work under this Contract shall consist of the reconstruction of Townline Road from South Washington Street (AKA Route 177) to Red Stone Hill. Construction activities shall include repair of existing catch basins, elevation adjustment to utility structures, excavating the existing roadway surface and base, replacing the roadway base, paving, curb installation and associated improvements Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check of Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount of Bid. A performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond will be required equal to the value of the contract. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS Circular 570.All bidders are required to inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the construction and labor under which the work will be or is now being performed and the contractor shall employ as possible, such methods and means to carry out this work that does not cause interruption or interfere with any other contractor. No bids submitted without a completed Drug and Alcohol Compliance Certification will be considered for award.This contract is subject to CHRO State set-aside and contract requirements.No Bid may be withdrawn until one hundred and twenty, (120), calendar days after the date of the opening of the Bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the Bids: to reject any and all Bids; or to accept the Bid that in his judgement will be in the best interest of the Town of Plainville.
