As of 8/30/21 the bid for this project was rejected. Plans for a rebid have not been confirmed at this time. This project will consist of removal and disposal of concrete and asphalt pads in areas of two (2) underground storage tanks (UST); 1-10,000 gallon and 1-500 gallon. Excavation down to the tops of two (2) UST tans. Blow back all existing product supply lines, and removal of existing sumps and piping. Supply and install fills with containment and overfill; tank sumps with mounting hardware; extractors and tie back into existing vents; probe risers, caps and adapters; suction stubs and tie into existing feeds and returns; all manholes, tank fittings and stone. Supply and install new conduit and wiring from building to tanks and make all connections. Supply and install 1 Veeder Root TLS 350 tank monitor with probes, sensors, modules, start-up and training. Backfill of excavation, form, and pour two (2) tank pads (8" thick, 4,000 psi with fiber mesh) and restore asphalt to existing depth. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 7/6/2021 10:00 AM Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Palisades School District. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project.
