The project involves intersection improvements at the intersection of Oak Avenue/Crystal Park Way and Crystal Springs Road. Work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Reconstruction of curb ramps at the northwest and southwest corners; and construction of new curb extensions and sidewalk at the northeast and southeast corners of the intersection; 2. Drainage improvements; 3. Restriping of all approaches to the intersection to (Crystal Springs Road) to add left-turn pockets, and high visibility yellow crosswalks; 4. Installation of a new traffic signal, including coordinating and accommodating PG&E schedule for power connection; 5. Advance procurement of traffic signal poles and foundation elements; 6. Pothole traffic signal pole foundation locations; 7. Secure necessary permitting per Section 01 41 00 (Regulatory Requirements); 8. Temporary traffic control per Section 01 51 00 (Temporary Facilities and Control); 9. Site cleaning and removal of debris, equipment, and excess material from the sites upon completion of work QUESTIONS regarding the Project Plans or Specifications, bid process, and contractual issues may be directed to Harry Yip, P.E., Senior Civil Engineer (Traffic) at (650) 616-7052. The successful bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws applicable to the project, and related requirements contained in the contract documents. The City specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects or minor irregularities in the bids not involving time, price or quality of the work. Bidders must direct all questions about the meaning or intent of the bidding documents to City's Department of Public Works, Administration & Engineering, in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the City in response to such questions will be issued by addenda mailed, faxed, or delivered to all parties recorded by the City as having received bidding documents. The addenda will be written and will be issued to each bidder to the address or fax number supplied to the City by the bidder. The City may not answer questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening Bids. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. However, the City may, upon inquiry by the bidder, orally direct bidder's attention to specific provisions of the contract documents which cover the subject of the inquiry.
