Banks County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids for the construction of Windmill Park Multipurpose Fields for the Banks County Department of Parks and Recreation. Facilities include new tee-ball fields and multi-use fields. Ancillary uses to serve the complex include parking and concession/restroom building improvements. The site is part of a large tract of land owned by Banks County which sits directly across from the Parks and Recreation Department building on Thompson Street. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, and all other things necessary for the completion of the proposed project. The extent and character of the work to be done generally consists of the following work: Construction of four (4) active tee ball fields and five (5) multi-use fields; Construction of concrete sidewalks, some ADA accessible and concrete steps with handrails. Construction of a paved parking lot for approximately 70 vehicles. Renovation of one (1) concession/restroom building and new plaza Construction of associated ancillary elements. The entire contract must be completed within 270 days after notice to proceed. Demolition of existing gravel parking lot, baseball field with lighting, irrigation lines and fencing. Miscellaneous trees, and partial septic line. o Construction of four tee ball fields and a large open space that holds up to five (5) soccer fields or multipurpose fields with natural seeded turf including: irrigation, storm drainage, fencing, striping, and other related improvements (gates, bases, backstops,fencing, lighting. o Asphalt parking for approximately 65-70 vehicles with lighting o Installation of a septic system to connect to an existing septic system o Renovation of an existing 360 sf concession/restroom building. o New plaza between concession stand and tee-ball fields. o Landscaping and irrigation. o Re-vegetation of slopes at multiple disturbed areas. o All associated work, including clearing and grubbing, grading, and site walls asphalt parking and roadways, concrete walkways, stairs and handrails, sediment and erosion control, drainage, and all utilities. o Benches, picnic tables, and similar site amenities throughout the park. o Signage.
