Facilities include new ball fields, a multi-use field, and a nature trail system. Ancillary uses to serve the complex include parking, and concession/restroom building. The site is part of a large tract of land owned by Banks County which sits directly across from the Parks and Recreation Department building on Thompson Street. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, and all other things necessary for the completion of the proposed project. The extent and character of the work to be done generally consists of the following work: • Construction of four (4) active ball fields and one (1) multi-use field; • Construction of 4,400 linear feet of paved trail, some ADA accessible. • Construction of a paved access road to new park facilities. • Construction of associated parking (2 lots). • Construction of one (1) concession/restroom building with one (1) alternate building. • Construction of associated ancillary elements. • Preservation of the natural and cultural resources associated with the site. • The entire contract must be completed within 270 days after notice to proceed.
