- The proposal shall be submitted with the attached Bid Cover Sheet completed in its entirety. - Warranty information, when applicable, shall also be included & submitted. - All work to be performed during normal working hours. - If bid price is over $25,000 or more, bidder must be signatory to relevant union, per terms of the Various Trades Contract and Project Labor Agreement. - If bid price is over $75,000, you MUST include your MBE/WBE subs and relevant forms at time of bid Boiler #1 Please provide labor, materials and equipment to: - Secure a permit from the City of Chicago Boiler Inspection Department.to gain access to our work. - Remove approximately (3) courses of brick from the firebox including the front burner wall. - Flame cut out and remove the entire lower 12" of the boiler bottom including the mudbar. - Install new 3/4 " thick mudbar and 3/8" steel plate to the entire bottom. - Bottom will have 7/8" stay rods installed. - Electrically arc weld new steel in place on the job site. - Replace the (2) courses of firebrick and patch the front wall refractory. - Fill the boiler and test. - After a successful test the entire boiler will be insulated using fiberglass insulation.
