A timeline or award has not yet been established.** The Town is seeking a qualified contractor possessing the necessary and appropriate manpower, equipment, and experience to perform roadway and bridge construction and incidental work within the project area in the Town of Wallingford. A bid bond, certified check or cashiers' check, for 5% of the base bid amount, must accompany each proposal. The awarded bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance and Materials Payment Bond written by a surety company licensed to do business in Connecticut. All proposals must be submitted in sealed opaque envelopes and should be clearly labeled with the bidder's name, address, bid number, and the name of the project for which the bid is submitted. No responsibility will be attached to any Town representative or employee for the premature opening of a bid not properly addressed and identified. No bids may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the opening.All proposals must be submitted in sealed opaque envelopes and should be clearly labeled with the bidder's name, address, bid number, and the name of the project for which the bid is submitted.
