As of 10/20/2020, all bids were rejected. Tenders are invited to provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment and appurtenances, including transportation, to make various repairs, improvements and upgrades to the Gloria Alitto Majewski (GAM) Reservoir. The contract duration is estimated to be six months. The Contract is divided, for purposes of bidding, into sixteen bid Items. Bidders must submit bids for all sixteen Items, or the bid will be rejected as non-responsive. The District intends to issue one Contract to one bidder for all the work to be performed. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of bid bond, as stated in the Bidding Requirements and Instructions to Bidders contained in the document. The Bid Deposit for this contract is $30,000.00. Bid Deposits will only be accepted in the form of a bid bond. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et. Seq.). The contact person for this Contract is Mr. Matthew Jurjovec. Mr. Jurjovec will provide online responses to online inquiries. The documentation should be provided with the bid package on the Contractor's Information form; the form is included in the package containing the contract documents. Subsequent to the bid opening, and if it is determined by the Affirmative Action Administrator that a Contractor's Information form is required from the apparent low bidder, the bidder must complete and submit the form within (3) days of receiving the written request. The work under this Contract is classified as "General Construction" for the MBE, WBE, SBE and VBE utilization goals contained in the Affirmative Action Ordinance - Revised Appendix D. The associated goals are 20% Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), 10% Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), 10% Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and 3% Veterans Business Enterprises (VBE). The Contractor agrees to furnish a Contractors Bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract award value as security for the performance of the work under this Contract as required under Article 29 of the General Conditions. Compliance with the District's Affirmative Action Ordinance Revised Appendix D, Appendix C, Appendix V and the Multi-Project Labor Agreement is required on this Contract. The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals.
