**As of April 12, 2021. the project has been awarded but no other information available.** Tuscola County will be accepting bids on the installation of a new outlet pipe for the retention pond at the County Health and Human Services complex. The pond is on the North side of the entrance drive. The current discharge pipe clogs easily and may be damaged from tree roots. 1. Contractor is responsible for all needed permits, drawings and must follow all local, State and Federal codes. Contractor will need a permit from the State to work in the road right of way. 2. Contractor shall contact and work with the City of Caro DPW, specific to the catch basin at roadway. 3. Contractor shall be responsible for contacting Miss Digg before any excavation work. 4. Contractor shall remove existing drainage pipe from the retention pond to the east corner catch basin at the roadway. 5. Contractor shall prepare the trench bottom with granular soils such as coarse sand or crushed stone, compacted to provide a firm, stable and uniform support for the full length of the pipe. Ensure that the trench bottom is smooth and free of large stones, rocks, boulders, construction debris or frozen material. 6. Contractor shall install a PVC 6 inch SDR 35 drainage pipe, from the retention pond to the catch basin at roadway. 7. Pipe shall be installed following all manufactures instructions, and to allow proper drainage of the retention pond. Outlet into catch basin must meet City approval once installed. 8. Inlet side of pipe shall have a flared end installed metal or plastic is acceptable. 9. Completed area shall be mowable, and hydro seeded. 10. Contractor shall properly dispose of any extra material. 11. Contractor is responsible for all necessary construction required for a finished installation of the project. 12. Contractor is to field verify measurements before beginning work. 13. Contractor shall be insured and provide copy of liability insurance and workmens comp. 14. Contractor shall be licensed to perform the required construction. 15. Contractor is to provide all necessary materials, and equipment. 16. All work is to be completed by qualified personnel. 17. Contractor is responsible for cleaning of the job site daily. Please call if you have questions or to view the project- 989-672-3756 18.
