A timeline for award has not yet been established Installing new membrane system, cover board, rigid insulation, flashing, gutters and downspouts. Replace existing equipment curbs & supports with new curbs/supports. Prime & paint all existing exterior metal roof support structures. The Decatur County Board of Commissioners invites all interested and qualified firms to bid on a contract for the work as described below and in the bid drawings and specifications. The building area is approximately 55,000 square feet. All bids must be on a lump sum basis; segregated bids will not be accepted. SCOPE OF WORK: Provide all labor, materials, and equipment for the selective demolition and roof replacement at the Decatur County Jail, per the bid drawings and specifications. PROJECT DURATION: 180 consecutive calendar days. BID SECURITY: Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A letter from a bonding company must accompany each bid, stating that the bidder is capable of obtaining all bonds required by the Construction Documents. All Bidders are to submit with the Bid Package a properly executed "Contractor's Qualification Statement", AIA Document A305, which is to include a current financial statement, an experience, competence and performance report, and references from at least three prior projects similar in size and scope, along with the name of a contact person for each of those projects. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be issued. Bidders may obtain a refund of their deposit by returning the Bidding Documents in good condition no later than (10) calendar days after the opening of Bids. Bidders who do not submit a bid will forfeit their deposit unless bidding documents are returned in good condition (3) days prior to the Bid Opening. A Bidder receiving the Contract award may retain the Bidding Documents and the Bidder's deposit will be refunded. Other interested parties may purchase complete sets of Bidding Documents hard copies by paying the printing and handling cost of $100.00, which is not refundable, or PDFs for a $35 nonrefundable fee (PDFs for Bidders is free of charge). Decatur County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all Bids.
