**As of October 10, 2019, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for the award is not yet determined.** The work performed under this Contract generally consists of furnishing, installation and construction of various improvements within Telford Boroughs new Borough Hall which includes, but is not limited to: selective demolition, exterior closures; including walls, doors, windows and louvers, fire stopping for openings, interior construction, interior finishes and final cleaning. In addition, the General Contractor will be responsible for temporary facilities and controls as described in the Contract Documents. In addition, the project includes a number of potential alternate/add-on items that will be considered by the Borough during the review of bid proposals. These alternate/add-on items include furnishing and installation of two (2) new arch top windows, install metal trim over existing wood as indicated in the Contract Documents and on the Contract Drawings, and to remove and replace the existing copper gutters and downspouts. The Borough also reserves the right to limit access to the site to the time designated for the mandatory pre-bid site meeting and will not provide access at any other time. All bids must include lump sum or unit prices to be considered for award by the Borough, at their option, after review of the bid amounts. Bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Borough and must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft or bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the total price bid made payable to the Borough. The bidders attention is called to the fact that the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Act apply to this Contract if the estimated cost of the project is in excess of $25,000. The successful bidder shall pay no less than the wage rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must also ensure that employees and applicants for employment are (a) not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin, or on any other basis on which discrimination is prohibited by any applicable federal, state or local laws and, (b) legally authorized to work in the United States.
