Opinion of probable cost: $170,000 - $200,000. Burke County will be accepting sealed bids for the construction of an Active Gas Extraction System at the Johns River Waste Management Facility. The facility is located at 2500 Marsh Trail Road, Morgantown, NC 28655. This project includes installation of gas collection system piping, fittings, and valves with associated trenching and backfilling, conversion of existing gas vents to active gas wells, installation and startup ofgas extraction unit skid station, gravel pad construction, installation of condensate collection trap and tank, utilities coordination and connection, and site restoration/revegetation in disturbed areas. Each Bidder must have experience constructing landfill gas collection systems, and be familiar with the particular requirements oflandfill construction, including, but not limited to, installing FFG extraction equipment, welding HDPE pipe, handling leachate, moving waste, and working in conditions where landfill gas is present. Associated General Contractors' Form 220 will be used to evaluate the Bidder's experience record. Detailed vendor equipment specifications for the Landfill Gas Extraction Unit and Flare (Section 02900) must be submitted with the bid. Award will be made in the best interest of Burke County, and the right to reject any or all bids and proposals, and to accept other than the low bid is reserved.
