The work involves the supply and installation of fire hydrant, associated piping, and hydrant sign as per City of Ottawa Standard Detail Drawing No. W53 and as identified on the contract drawings. The work covers the supply and installation of 200mm diameter steel bollards as per City of Ottawa Standard Detail Drawing No. F4 and as identified on the contract drawings. The work involves the supply, placement, and compaction of granular pad (i.e., 200mm thick Granular A on woven geotextile) around the new hydrant as per City of Ottawa Special Provision S.P. No: F-3147, Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications OPSS.MUNI 501 and OPSS.MUNI 1860, and as identified on the contract drawings. The time of tendering, the Tenderer shall submit, with its Tender, a deposit in the form of an electronic bid bond from the Tenderer's surety in favour of the City of Ottawa. The amount of the Tender deposit shall equal at least ten percent (10%) of the Total Tender Price.
