Westmoreland County is requesting the following Single Prime Contract Bids for the proposed Westmoreland County Prison Shower Renovation Project, 3000 S. Grande Blvd., Greensburg, PA 15601. WC Prison Shower Renovation General Construction Prime Bid Package #1 Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Treasurer's Check or an approved Surety Company's Bid Bond in an amount not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the amount of the Base Bid of Bid Package stated in the Proposal, drawn in favor of the Owner. Bids cannot be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after date set for opening of bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond guaranteeing performance of the contract, with sufficient surety in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract within fifteen (15) days of the date of written notice of award of the contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish one hundred (100%) of the contract amount. Such bond shall be solely for the protection of individuals, firms, corporations, partnerships, and associations supplying labor or materials to the contractor or to any of its subcontractors in the prosecution of the work provided for in the contract and shall be conditioned for the prompt payment of all such material furnished or labor supplied or performed in the prosecution of the work. The successful bidder shall agree for itself, its heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns to maintain all the work done under the contract in good condition for a period of one (1) year from the date of final acceptance of the same, the County being the judge of the condition of the work; and upon the acceptance of the completed work and before the surety which has furnished the Performance Bond is released, the contractor shall furnish a Maintenance Bond of an acceptable surety company in the full amount of the final cost to the County or in a lesser amount if so stipulated elsewhere in the contract documents. Question Deadline 10/17/2024 All bidding questions by Bidders must be submitted to the Architect. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informality in the Bids.
