The Chicago Botanic Garden ("Garden") is soliciting proposals to provide professional services related to project facilitation and planning. The contract term is for the two-year and one-month period from 11/15/24 through 12/15/26. Design and facilitation of a two-day scoping and planning session for a new project, to conduct planning related to the National Interagency Seed and Restoration Center (NISRC). The meeting will take place in late November 2024, in the Chicago area and will consist of a team of 8- 10 experts in the field of restoration. The desired outcome of this initial session is to provide alignment on project goals and identify the resources and expertise the project team will need to deliver a strategic and business plan for the NISRC and the SOS seedbank. We are looking for a facilitator to co-create the session agenda and facilitate the two-day meeting. Following the meeting, the facilitator would hold a debrief meeting and then finalize any session outputs, such as a draft timeline and workplan/scope of work. Suggested engagement: 1. Have an online meeting with the Garden and key colleagues to organize and design the scoping session in late November 2024 2. Create a session agenda, session tools, and material list for the session 3. Purchase supplies and print any meeting tools 4. Facilitate (in person) a two-day work planning session at the Garden 5. Hold a debrief meeting with the Garden to discuss meeting outcomes 6. Produce a scoping document and draft timeline; share notes and artifacts from the meeting The Garden is located at 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe, Illinois 60022. Plan and carry out the facilitation of five two-day meetings (two in Denver, three in Washington, D.C.) between December 2024 and early 2026 with the project team, agency stakeholders, and others as appropriate to realize the goals laid out in the scoping document and develop the materials needed to create a strategic and business plan for the NISRC.
