The Town of Abingdon is seeking responses to this Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified firms and/or individuals for the removal of signs, construction and installation of a comprehensive Town entrance, wayfinding and trail signs. Identifying/ affirming the strategic locations for signage along public roadways, pedestrian ways, and bicycle trails. Provide a phased approach to installation of signage over the next few years to reduce the financial impact on the Towns budget. Expected budgeting required to fully implement the program Remove signs that have cluttered other signs / cluttered intersections / become worn and faded Work Completion Date: September 2025 Award Date: December 2024 at the Abingdon Town Council Meeting Requests for Information: All Requests for Information (RFI) must be in writing and submitted to the project manager, Mayana Rice via email at mrice@abingdon-va.gov. Answers to RFIs will be issued via addendum. Questions concerning the Invitation to Bid can be directed to the contact information below, and shall be received no later than 2:00 pm, Friday, October 11, 2024. Any questions received after Friday, October 11, 2024 may not be answered in fairness to other Bidders. The Town reserves the right to make the final determination of responsible Offerors and to waive informalities and/or irregularities and to accept or reject any or all offers.
