Question Deadline 09/30/2024 at 10:00 PM CT Question Cuttoff Date & Time Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity. A Bid Bond is not required for this solicitation. A Performance Bond will be required of only the Awarded Contractor (see Attribute #6). Overview The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking competitive bids for a qualified Contractor to install an 8" tile crossing under IA 9 at DOT Station 1086+90 MP. 17.17 in Lyon County per the attached Plans and Specifications. A 10'' Encasement pipe to be installed. Crossing will be connected to a 6'' tile on the North and South side of IA 9. Work to be done during regular working hours and days M - F 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. CT (Work must NOT start before 30 minutes after sunrise and must end 30 minutes before sunset). DOT Estimated Start Date: October 21, 2024. (Start date to be coordinated with IDOT Project Manager.) This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract). Completion Date: December 31, 2024 NOTE: Contractors may propose a suggested revised completion date. See Attribute #12. Awarded contractor must be a licensed, bonded and insured contractor.
