The work to be bid on is as follows: o Installation of 6 insertion valves and one new valve. o Replacement of 7 blow-off hydrants and 1 new hydrant. o The allotted time for construction is 90 calendar days. No bidder may withdraw his bid within (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All bidders are required to be licensed in accordance with the General Licensing Act of 1976 (TCA Title 62, Chapter 6), also known as House Bill No. 2180. A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of his bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor of the Northeast Henry County Utility District. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
