The project consists of fur- nishing all material, labor, equipment and appurte- nances for the removal and demolition of the existing Butterlane Bridge structure, including superstructure, pier and bridge abutments, stabi- lization of embankments. The Proposal for the Butter- lane Bridge Removal Project shall be accompanied by cash, money order, a certified or ca- shier's good faith check or a bond with corporate surety in the amount of at least 10% of the total Proposal. All Pro- posals shall be effective for sixty (60) days, and the proj- ect must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Perfor- mance, Payment and Mainte- nance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount, said bonds to be that of an approved surety com- pany authorized to transact business in the Common- wealth of Pennsylvania. A Certificate of Insurance show- ing proof of liability insurance and worker's compensation insurance must also be pro- vided, as specified in the bid documents. Notice is given that the Work is a project constituting pub- lic works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropri- ate prevailing minimum rates as promulgated under provi- sions of said act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the nec- essary work. All submission of bids must be on the bid forms provided with the contract specifica- tions. All Bidders shall be PennDOT Prequalified per PennDOT Specifications (PennDOT Pub- lication 408, Section 102.01). Exeter Township reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to Exeter Township, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. Exeter Township also reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to waive any informality in the Bid, and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregu- larities in any Bid. Exeter Township hereby re- serves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to accept or re- ject any and all Bids or por- tions thereof and to delete projects and/or portions of projects based upon budget constraints.
