Roadway Improvement Plan for Ma-23 Perryville Rd Section 4B: The major construction items include approximately: 3,700 SY of HMA Milling, 2.5" to 5", 6' Wide; 500 TONS of Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M-64 Surface Course, 2" Thick; 510 Tons Hot Mix Asphalt 25M64 Base Course, 5" Thick; 1,004 LF of 15" Reinforced Concrete Pipe; 9 UNITS of Inlet, Type E; 1,700 LF of 18" Reinforced Concrete Pipe; and other incidental work appurtenant thereto. Bidders shall be aware that the project is funded utilizing monies from the Township of Union and Grants received by the Township from the New Jersey Department of Transportation Local Aid. Also, note that both sections 4A and 4B will be awarded as one (1) single contract. Prospective bidders must obtain bid documents in this manner so that Van Cleef Engineering Associates may keep an accurate listing of bid holders should the bid opening be delayed or the bid documents need amendment. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms provided in the Bid Package in the manner designated therein, and required by the Specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Township of Union, 140 Perryville Road, Hampton, NJ 08827, and must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit with either a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, providing said check or bid bond need not be more than $20,000.00 nor shall not be less than $500.00, and such other documents and certifications as required in the Bid Package, and be delivered at the place on or before the hour named above. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A.10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C.17:27 et seq. Bidders are also required to conform to all provisions of the Local Public Contracts Law and the Prevailing Wage Act. The Union Township Mayor and Committee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bid inuring to the benefit of the Township of Union.
