Sealed bids will be received in accordance with the time schedule shown below by the Anchorage School District, Purchasing Department, located at 4919 Van Buren Street Anchorage, Alaska 99517 for Chugiak High School Roof Replacement and Restoration per the attached Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Technical Specifications, Drawings and Bid Form. General Description: Chugiak High School Roof Replacement and Restoration is located at 16525 S Birchwood Loop Rd, Chugiak, AK 99567. This is a roof project replacing and restoring sections of roof as outlined in the project documents. There is associated mechanical, electrical, structural, and hazmat scope of work. Construction: Base Bid; Replace 100,000 sf of roof, restore 13,000 sf of roof, with associated hazmat, structural, and MEP. Alternate #1 scope of work is to replace mechanical ventilation units with associated architectural, structural, hazmat, and MEP. Alternate # 2 is to restore 27,000 sf of roof. Alternate #3 is to restore 28,000 sf of roof. Moving and relocating of furniture, books, equipment, and other ASD property is a requirement of this contract, see Section 01005. Estimated Construction Cost: Over $10,000,000 Time of receipt will be as determined by the time stamp at the Purchasing Department. A bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total amount of the base bid will be required (cash, personal or business checks are unacceptable). The successful Contractor shall be required to furnish 100 percent performance and payment bonds. The Anchorage School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in bidding procedures. This project is subject to the Student Community Workforce Agreement per ASD Board Policy 3311.2. The awarded Contractor must review, understand and agree to Attachment A, Community Workforce Agreement, which will be incorporated into the contract. All Bidders are encouraged to attend the On-site Visit and Pre-Bid Conference. Major sub-bidders are also encouraged to attend.
