The Rural Municipality of Douglas No. 436 hereby invites tenders from qualified contractors for the provision of gravel crushing services for 2024. The R.M. pit is located on the NE of 11-43-10-W3 in the R.M. of Redberry No. 435. The R.M. is looking for 50,000 cubic yards of 3/4 inch standard road gravel with about 15% of reject, for an approximate total of 57,500 cubic yards. Contractor must provide the R.M. with continuous work. Crushing should be completed by November 30, 2024. The R.M reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tender(s) without stating reasons, to negotiate with the Successful Bidder(s), split the award or to waive irregularities and omissions, if in so doing the best interests of the R.M will be served. No liability shall accrue to the R.M for its decision in this regard. Any bid or any part of any bid will not necessarily be accepted. The lowest bid does not necessarily constitute an award. The R.M is not obligated to award a contract to any Bidder pursuant to this Request for Tender. Upon being awarded the contract, the successful Bidder will have seven days to provide a bid deposit based on 10% of the initial awarded contract; shall be made payable to the R.M of Douglas No. 436 in the form of a bid bond, certified cheque, bank draft, or money order. Failure to provide the bid deposit will result in a default by the contractor and the R.M of Douglas No. 436 will have the right to award the tender to another Bidder.
