You are invited to bid on the lead hazard control remediation of a home located at 1312 N Hampshire Place, Mason City, IA 50401. This work is being financed with funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The primary goal of the Cerro Gordo County Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Program (LBPHC) is to reduce lead-based paint exposure and other health related hazards in housing for low and very low-income families with children five years of age and under. The purpose of the work items listed in this bid document is to achieve lead safe conditions on both interior and exterior surfaces at the property listed. Activities listed in this bid packet may include both lead abatement work items and interim control work items. Bids may only be submitted by individuals holding a current and valid Lead Abatement Firm Certificate in the State of Iowa. Work being conducted on homes must be performed by persons holding a current and valid Lead Abatement Worker/Contractor Certificate in the State of Iowa. All activities are to be conducted in accordance with Iowa Code Chapters 69 and 70. The contractor is responsible for following all applicable codes. These codes include, but are not limited to, Municipal, State and Federal regulations. All work must be completed within 10 business days 1. Living Room, Windows (A2, A4, Bl) -Abatement- Remove existing windows and replace with new vinyl Energy Star rated double hung windows. Enclose exterior trim with aluminum coil stock. 2. Bedroom 1, Windows (C4, C5, DI) -Abatement- Remove existing windows and replace with new vinyl Energy Star rated double hung windows. Enclose exterior trim with aluminum coil stock 3. Bedroom 2, Windows (D2, D3) -Abatement- Remove existing windows and replace with new vinyl Energy Star rated double hung windows. Enclose exterior trim with aluminum coil stock 4. Bedroom 3, Windows (Al, D4) -Abatement- Remove existing windows andreplace with new vinyl Energy Star rated double hung windows. Enclose exterior trim with aluminum coil stock
