The Digital Signage System (DSS) is a mission critical system at the Orlando International Airport (MCO) that enables the airport, airlines, and other partners to communicate educational, informational, operational, and emergency information to the public. In 2015, the DSS concept for the airport went through a major transition. MCO was the first to develop the large digital canvas placed behind all the ticket counters in Terminals A and B. The DSS is the largest, by pixel count, for a North American airport and the ticket counter digital canvas outputs over 49 billion pixels per second. The DSS is also the system that is also responsible for the overall wayfinding inside the terminals and curbside areas.
