HIGHWAY 29 / STATE ROUTE 14 WATER MAIN EXTENSION, which includes the installation of approximately 6,685 linear feet of 12" DIP water main, 280 linear feet of 8" DIP water main, 13 fire hydrant assemblies with valves,10 12-inch gate valves, 7 8-inch gate valves, approximately 96 linear feet of 20" steel casing installed by jack & bore method, 60 linear feet of 16" steel casing installed by jack & bore method, three connections to existing water mains, fittings, water service connections, water service lines and appurtenances, asphalt pavement patching, installation and maintenance of erosion control measures, traffic control, permanent grassing and other related work. The contractor will furnish all materials and perform all work associated with the project. Separate sealed bids for construction of HIGHWAY 29 / STATE ROUTE 14 WATER MAIN EXTENSION will be received by City of Grantville, Georgia (also referred to as Owner) from qualified Contractors to include all associated work labor and materials, equipment and appurtenances required to complete the work for HIGHWAY 29 / STATE ROUTE 14 WATER MAIN EXTENSION as described herein. No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after time designated for receipt of Bids, or until notified by Owner, whichever is sooner. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in the amount of five percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder must be able to provide a Payment Bond and Performance Bond within ten days of Notice of Award. These bonds must be in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. City of Grantville, Georgia reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities, and informalities.
