The District plans to make repairs to the existing portico as per recommendations provided in a report from a structural engineer. Work will include investigating the existing structure, providing construction drawings and specifications for bidding purposes, answering RFI's (both pre and post bid) and reviewing submittals. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") is to evaluate firm Statement of Qualifications ("SOQs") for the purpose of selecting a qualified firm with which to establish a contractual relationship for provision of the desired architectural services. Question Deadline Sep 27, 2024 at 4:00 PM RAL is a two-story comprehensive high school. The west entrance to the structure features a two-story masonry portico constructed in approximately 1927. The District observed cracks in the masonry and subsequently commissioned a report by a structural engineer dated August 21, 2024 (the "Report"), a copy of which is attached as Exhibit "A." The Report recommends various repairs to the portico, including replacing certain stone with cast stone containing internal steel reinforcements and adding helical ties to other stones. The District desires to engage the services of a qualified architecture firm to design necessary repairs to the RAL portico.
