The scope of work shall include: - Remove all existing pavers, clean, and palletize existing pavers for reinstallation. Contractor is responsible for replacing damaged pavers or supplying new pavers as needed to complete the installation. Furnishing new pavers as needed will be incidental to the work. - Remove and haul off existing sand bedding and geotextile. - Investigate the concrete sub slab. Clean and prepare existing concrete sub slab for skim coat. - Pour skim coat consisting of Quikrete Commercial Grade FastSet DOT Mix (Product No. 1244-56, -53, - 59), or approved equal, as necessary to provide smooth, level surface suitable for paver installation. - Install geotextile fabric on top of cured skim coat and turn up at curb. Geotextile fabric shall be continuous filter fabric, Mirafi 140-N or approved equal. - Install 1-inch bedding sand per specifications. - Reinstall pavers over 1-inch sand bed with polymeric jointing sand. Installation of pavers shall be in accordance with the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) Specification 32 14 13 Interlocking Concrete Pavement Overlay. Pavers shall match color, pattern, and layout as shown in the reference plans. - Mobilization, demobilization, site restoration, and site cleanup will be incidental to the work. - Traffic Control. The City of West University Place is soliciting proposals from interested and qualified firms for the removal and resetting of all existing concrete pavers at four intersections along Buffalo Speedway. The deadline to ask questions is 10/02/2024 10:00 AM CST Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) are encouraged to submit a proposal. Each proposal must be received before the stated time on the day the proposals are due. The City shall not be responsible for any verbal communication between any employee of the City and any potential firm. Only written requirements and qualifications will be considered. The City of West University Place reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive irregularities, and to accept the proposal deemed the most advantageous to the City.
