The project involves removal of existing striping and pavement markers, installation of new striping, pavement markers, delineator posts, and signage, and construction of concrete curb ramps. The County of Maui, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations Part 21) issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability. The Equal Employment Opportunity Regulations of the Secretary of Labor implementing Executive Order 11246, as amended shall be complied with on this project. Each proposal shall be on a form furnished by the Department of Public Works, County of Maui. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submitted. Estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 to $1,500,000.
