Sidewalk US14/61 to Brickyard Lane. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Construction of T Shelby, Sidewalk, Us 14/61 to Brickyard Lane, 1640-00-73, La Crosse County, Transportation Alternatives Program, Federally Funded Bidder is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. Description: T Shelby, Sidewalk. Work on this contract consists of excavation common, base aggregate dense, concrete sidewalk, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans and included in the proposal and contract. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bids shall be on the forms provided for that purpose and per the Contract Documents prepared by CBS Squared Inc. identified as "T Shelby, Sidewalk, US 14/61 to Brickyard Lane, 1640-00-73, La Crosse County, Transportation Alternatives Program, Federally Funded Project". No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. Bidders Proof of Responsibility must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must be licensed to do business in the State of Wisconsin and will be required to provide performance and payment bonds of 100 percent of bid amount. Bidders must be listed on the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Prequalified Contractors List. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal is 0 (zero) percent - discretionary - not required. The contractor will accept as its operating policy the following statement: "It is the policy of this company to assure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment on the project, without regard to their race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, color, national origin, age or disability. Such action shall include: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer; recruitment, or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training, including apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, and/or on-the-job training." Bidders must submit an Affidavit of Non-Collusion stating that the bidder has not engaged in any collusion related to the bidding of the project. The Prime Contractor must perform at least 30 percent of the original contract amount with the contractor's own organization as per Section 108.1.2 of the current edition of the WisDOT Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction. The project is subject to Federal Prevailing Wage Rates of the US Department of Labor, WI 10 Highway. The Town of Shelby reserves the right to reject all bids, without cause, and accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Town of Shelby. Question Deadline 10/01/2024
