Interested General Contractors and the following subtrades: Mechanical, Electrical, Asphalt, Excavation, Masons, Roofing, Aluminum & Glazing, Flooring, Painting and Drapery Contractors are invited to prequalify to complete the work for the above noted project for the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board. It is anticipated that the project will be tendered in December 2024. Construction to begin no later than March 1, 2025 and must be substantially complete by May 30, 2026. The addition is approximately 1665 sm in gross area. Project location is 1209 Tremaine Avenue, Listowel, ON N4W 3G9. Selection will be based on: a) properly and fully completed CCDC Document #11 b) successful completion of education related projects c) successful completion of projects of a similar size (ie over 4 million dollars) d) successful completion of projects within the (519) area code e) proof of the ability to bond a project of this size; 50% Performance Bond and 50% Labour and Materials Payment Bond (PROOF OF BONDING ONLY REQUIRED FROM GENERAL CONTRACTORS) f) past history of un-submitted tenders for this owner. g) reference check from Appendix B in the CCDC #11 (to be conducted by the consultants) h) minimum of five (5) years in business that have completed projects of similar size and complexity i) curriculum vitae of the Project Manager and Site Superintendent proposed for the project j) submitted Clearance Certificate from the Workplace Safety Insurance Board k) verification by Insurance Company of ability to secure coverage of $10,000,000.00 minimum General Liability insurance l) Limit any information in addition to the required items listed above to a maximum of 5 pages. The number of bidders prequalified shall be limited to six in each category. Reference checks will be conducted on the short list of contractors who have met the criteria. All information received as part of these reference checks is confidential. Request for references will be asked of no less than 4 references. The Owner reserves the right to contact references other than those listed in the CCDC #11; or consider the Owner or Architect's past experience with this contractor. Based on the response from these references, each application will be ranked in order to determine the final recommendation to the Owner. The Owner's decision will be final. The Owner will release the names of those selected to bid this project in alphabetical order and will be permitted to substitute other applicants as may be required to have a full list of bidders. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications based on this review. One submission is required and must be in the form of a completed CCDC #11. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, October 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., at the office of POW ARCHITECTURE INC., 516 Huron Street, Stratford, Ontario N5A 5T7.
