The County of York, Virginia (Owner) is seeking the services of a qualified contractor, to restore approximately 1,100 LF of stream and construct an Extended Detention BMP on the Grafton-Bethel Elementary School property to reduce flows to the stream and provide water quality benefits. The stream restoration will repair eroding banks, stop an active headcut, and include bankfull bench areas to improve water quality and reduce in-stream velocities and stresses. The Work under this Project shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, permits, and fees to construct the improvements per the specifications and contract drawings. Questions or comments related to this solicitation shall be directed to the Contract Officer not later than 1:00 p.m. on October 1, 2024. All questions shall be submitted in writing (email is preferred). Telephone inquiries will not be accepted Substantial Completion: 365 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed for construction. Liquidated Damages: $250 per calendar day after time for Substantial Completion has expired. Final Completion: 420 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed for construction.
