Reference number: 20016814 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2024-09-25 Shoreline protection in the Gros-Cap sector, L'Etang-du-Nord Municipalité des Îles-de-la-Madeleine is seeking bids for shoreline protection work in the Gros-Cap, L'Étang-du-Nord area. The aim of the work is to secure two stretches of shoreline in order to protect the integrity of the road. The work includes, but is not limited to, the installation of a 4:1 slope riprap with a 5.1-metre crest on an all-rip rap along the edge of Baie de Plaisance over a length of approx. 50 metres, and the installation of a 1.5:1 slope riprap with a 6.4-metre crest over a length of approx. 170 metres. It should be noted that the project, which is the subject of this request for tender, has not yet obtained all the required approvals, including those from the Ministère de l'Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP) and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO). Award of the contract is therefore conditional on receipt of all required approvals. Analysis of the required approvals is proceeding normally.
