The Town of Manchester is requesting bids for the demolition and hazardous material abatement of 942-974 Main Street (single story building of approximately 20,000sf with a full basement and seven (7) retail spaces located on the first floor) in Manchester, Connecticut. The project will be divided into 2 phases: Phase 1; Mobilization, Demolition, and removal of the first floor, including but not limited to the roof top equipment, roof, walls, partitions, and interior contents within first floor, with floor surface to remain. Work includes the removal of all hazmat, asbestos, and pcb items within this area. Site shall be left fully demobilized except for the perimeter construction fence. IMPORTANT: PHASE 1 WORK MUST BE COMPLETED NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 15, 2024.* Phase 2, RE-mobilization, Demolition, and removal of the first-floor structure & basement, including but not limited to floor/basement ceiling, top of foundation walls (-2 feet below grade), partitions, and interior contents within foundations walls, breaking up the basement floor, and the addition of fill to level off site.
