DESCRIPTION: Construction of new enclosed Batting Cage structure. The bid will need to address a both the (3) three lane and (4) four lane options. The Base Bid must individually include OH/P for both options: Base Bid: Entire structure is the responsibility of General Contractor (GC). Any required soil testing/ Geotech testing is responsibility of the GC. All materials and fixtures are to be provided by and installed by the GC unless noted otherwise. Exceptions: Township to provide level site including 6" compacted crushed stone beneath the slab as noted on S-105 Township to provide all electrical scope indicated on sheets E-1.0 through E-4.0a of the bid documents including all labor and materials. BID SECURITY: Bid Security will be required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid amount, but shall not exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract price. The Bonds or other acceptable surety must be in a form acceptable to The Township of Gloucester and be issued by a surety company on institution authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey, CONSENT OF SURETY: Certificate from a Surety Company is required indicating consent to be bound as surety and guarantor for performance required under the Contract Documents. REJECTION OF BIDS: The Township of Gloucester reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt and further reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, in whole or in part, as permitted by law. The Township of Gloucester also reserves the right to waive any Bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of The Township of Gloucester and faimess of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Contract Documents. AWARD OF CONTRACT: The Award of Contract shall be made subject to the necessary monies to perform the work being provided by The Township of Gloucester in a lawful manner. The Contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary monies to perform the work have been provided by The Township of Gloucester in a lawful manner. The Award shall further be subject to the securing of the necessary State, Federal, and Local Permits governing the work.
