Domestic Hot Water Installation Pursuant to this Request for Proposal ("RFP"), the City of Waterbury, Department of Education (hereinafter "City"), is seeking proposals from third parties ("proposer" or "contractor", depending on context) for the installation of a domestic hot water heater and associated expansion tank (the "Project") with the intention of entering into a contract for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to execute and properly finish the Project at the Waterbury Arts Magnet School, as detailed and described herein and in the following. Question Deadline 09/27/2024 at 2:00 PM ET All questions and communications about this request for Proposal and submission requirements must be directed to the City of Waterbury website online. you have any procedural questions in this regard, please call the Purchasing Director at (203) 574- 6748. Each proposal shall be submitted and be accompanied by a proposal security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the total proposal price. The Proposer to whom a contract is offered must furnish to the City if that contract has a total cost greater than $50,000.00, one hundred (100) percent performance bond with a surety, and in a form acceptable to the City. In the City's sole discretion, it may also require a one (100) percent payment bond and/or other additional security with a surety and in a form acceptable to the City. The contractor further states that, by submitting their bid, it is a duly licensed contractor, for the type of work proposed, in Connecticut, and that all fees, permits, etc., pursuant to submitting this proposal shall be paid for by the contractor. The agreement period for any contract or purchase order resulting from this RFP is anticipated to be 6 months. The City reserves the right to award in part, to reject any and all proposals in whole or in part for misrepresentation or if the proposer is in default of any prior City contract, or if the proposal limits or modifies any of the terms and conditions and/or specifications of the RFP. The City also reserves the right to waive technical defects, irregularities and omissions if, in its judgment, the best interest of the City will be served. (25% of the work with DAS-certified Small and Minority owned businesses, and 25% of that work with DAS-certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals.
