Florence Co., SC (Owner) is accepting bids from licensed and qualified Contractors to repair/replace the bridge of 7996 located on Pisgah Rd.(Florence/Darlington Co. Line) Contractors are strongly advised to visit the site to assess the existing conditions, accessibility, etc. prior to submitting bids. Bulkhead Retaining Wall End Bent bulkhead retaining walls, remove and replace with new wood vertical sheeting materials 3x10 SVTG materials and 2-8x8 support whalers bolted to bridge support piles with wing walls on shoulder Regrade bridge approach and compact soil Necessary clearing of trees at end of bridge to work crane Demolition Disassembly of existing bridge for reuse, plus removal of old support piles and disposal Pile Driving Timber Piles Furnish and drive new timber support piles for bridge Piles are class A 40 ft long with 14 butt minimum diameter x 9 inch tip Bridge Repair Set grad on pile caps and reassemble bridge to existing road height and reinstall curbing and new tie-rods on slabs and install new drift pins on pile caps No binding interpretation of the meaning of the documents or any questions relating to the bid will be made to any bidder orally prior to the receipt of bids. Any request for such interpretation or questions shall be made in writing via Bidnet Direct. To be given consideration, such requests must be received by 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2024. Any such interpretations or supplemental instructions will be issued in the form of addendum(s) to the Contract Documents which will be mailed or emailed to persons receiving a set of documents, not later than three days prior to the date for opening of bids. Failure of any bidder to receive such addendum(s) shall not relieve the successful bidder of any obligation under the awarded contract and this Document.
