The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), National Plant Germplasm Quarantine Center (NPGQC) is seeking to establish a contract for the installation of LED Lighting throughout the facility to include the parking lot. Location of work: BARC-EAST Bldg. 580 Powder Mill Road Beltsville, Maryland 20708 Please refer any questions pertaining to this solicitation to Todd Bierl, Contracting Officer, at todd.k.bierlusda.gov A firm fixed price construction contract is anticipated for these services. The anticipated effective date of the contract is October 01, 2024. This is a total small business set aside. Construction Wage Rate Requirements Number MD20230054, Mod. 3, Last Revised Date: 12/01/2023 is applicable to this requirement. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO CONTRACTORS REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR AMENDMENTS. Quotes shall be submitted to the contracting activity by the date and time indicated in the request for quote. Prospective Offerors MUST register themselves on the website. Prospective Offerors must also be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM in order to participate in this procurement. Location of work: BARC-EAST Bldg. 580 Powder Mill Road Beltsville, Maryland 20708 The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Period of Performance: 10/01/2024 to 04/15/2025 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The contractor shall supply all necessary labor, equipment, parts and project materials in order to repair the existing light areas at the National Plant Germplasm Quarantine Center (NPGQC). Work will include replace the existing bulbs to LED lighting. This work shall be performed during normal business hours. Work shall be performed during week hours, after 7:00am 3:00pm Monday through Friday. The contractor shall be responsible for and coordinate all work according to an agreed upon schedule between the contractor and Acting Facility Manager (changes in schedule must be approved by NPGQC's Acting Facility Manager) 1. Contractor will prepare areas for work as described by manufacturers' recommendations, ensuring area is clean of dust/debris and dry prior to application. 2. The contractor will ensure that all products used are applied as per manufacturer specifications. 3. The contractor shall conduct work to allow for adequate space employees to park. 4. The Government will be responsible for ensuring parking areas are cleared of vehicles and other obstructions prior to contractor beginning work.
