The work of providing labor, equipment, and material for the West Lauderdale Water System Improvements Contract No. 1 - County Road 90 Water Line Extension The principal items of work are detailed herein below: 1. 13,700 LF of 6" Class 200 PYC Pipe 2. 1,500 LF 6" HDPE Pipe, DR9 (Furnish and Install, By Directional Bore Method 3. Gate Valves (Furnish and Install) 4. Two (2) Wet Connections (Furnish and Install) 5. Fire Hydrants (Furnish and Install) 6. New Service Connections 7. Service Recommendations The Contract may be awarded to the lowest and responsive Bidder. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond for one hundred (100%) of the bid amount and a Payment Bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount and must secure his bond from a bonding company's representative or agent in the State of Alabama. The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 180 consecutive calendar days total and noted restrictions shall be strictly observed The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to accept any bid considered advantageous to the Owner. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents.
