Base Bid items include a new tertiary treatment building complete with process equipment; flood protection modifications to the existing UV Building; construction of new sludge storage tanks with electrical room and odor control room; yard piping, site electrical and utilities; flood protection and other improvements to the main pump station, , aeration tanks and blowers; and site restoration. Bid alternate items include rehabilitation of primary clarifiers, construction of a new dewatering building shell; and additional secondary process improvements. All technical questions regarding this project should be directed by email to Joseph Ducharme at jducharme@hoyletanner.com. Completion time for the project will be calculated as calender days from the date specified in the "Notice to Proceed" as follows: 730 Calender days for Base Bid substantial completion, or 850 calendar days for Base Bid plus Bid Alt 1,2 and 3 60 additional calendar days for final completion Liquidated damages will be in the amount of $1,500, for each calendar day of delay from the date established for substantial completion, and $1,500 for each calendar day of delay from the date established for final completion. 1. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price. 2. The successful Bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within 10 days following notification of the acceptance of their Bid.
