This project includes traffic signal system improvements new signal poles replacement of existing poles and relocation of existing equipment new pedestrian push buttons new street signs curb ramp crosswalks stripping and signal equipment upgrades Allows zero unit prices and labor No Allows negative unit prices and labor No The work is estimated to cost between $900,000 and $1,325,000 The prime contractor shall possess a valid California Class C10 contractor's license. Prebid questions regarding the Plans and Specifications shall be submitted via email only to: Ms. Irma Vargas at irvargas@dpw.lacounty.gov. Prebid questions will not be accepted after 5 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2024. Each bid must be accompanied by a surety bond payable to County of Los Angeles in an amount equal to at least 10 percent of the bid to guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract if it is so awarded. The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to a responsible contractor with the lowest responsive bid; however, the Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bidder will be required to submit a faithful performance bond, payment bond, and liability and workers' compensation insurance with the contract. The County encourages the participation of Community Business Enterprises (CBE) in the project and has established a goal of twenty-five percent CBE participation which all bidders shall aspire to meet. Bidders shall document their good faith efforts to utilize CBEs in accordance with the Special Provisions. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
