The City of Vancouver invites Tenders for construction services for sidewalk at Bidwell Street, and various street infrastructure construction and upgrades along 1200-1300 Bidwell Street, 1100-1200 Pacific Street and 800-900 Beach Ave., and selected bus stops along bus route #23 to facilitate the transition from mini- buses to standard buses. The City is seeking for experienced and qualified general contractors having expertise in MMCD contracts and the delivery of municipal street civil projects, including excavation and site works, asphalt paving, concrete and related roadworks, and landscaping fulfilling the City's compliancy criteria for performing the construction services/works as mentioned below and also referred in the Invitation to Tender document of this Tender at Bidwell Street, Pacific Street and selected bus stops along route #23, City of Vancouver, British Columbia: Construction of a new concrete sidewalk on Bidwell Street adjacent to Alexandra park; Road re-construction of Bidwell Street from Beach to Davie Street to arterial road standard; Construction of bus stop landing pads at 8 locations associated with Bus Route #23; Construction of bus boarding islands, concrete medians, and road markings installation and signage updates along 1100-1200 Pacific Street and 800-900 Beach Ave, to adjust lane widths for standard buses on Route #23 and a protected bike lane. Installation of concrete barriers and IRS bollards adjacent to the new Public Bike Share (PBS) station at the southwest corner of Beach Ave/Hornby Street, including coordination with PBS parties for the relocation of the station Working as Prime Contractor for the project performing all required subtrades including general contract trades, allied structural/civil/mechanical works, and any other works as required to complete work as noted in IFT drawings and spec.; General contract works including contract administration, mobilization, demolition, excavation, safe disposal of waste/materials, traffic management, environment and safety management, demobilization, documentation and clean close-out of the works upon substantial completion; Applying for the necessary work permits; Perform all works as specified in the specifications and drawings provided in this Tender package (as Attachments); Provide required bonds, insurances, sureties and warranty in accordance and in compliance with this Instruction to Tenderers (ITT) package and attached Form of Agreement (FOA); and further details are provided in the ITT document and the package (Attachments referred in the ITT document).
