General Contractors that are licensed, insured, and in good standing with the County are eligible to bid on the attached scope; partial competitive bids for specialty items limited to roofing and septic/sewer services will also be accepted. The rehabilitation of this owner-occupied, single-family, residence is to make the home safer, more energy efficient, and easier to access within the provisions of federal, state, and county laws and ordinances and the SHIP repair program. The rehabilitation of this home will include the following tasks as outlined below and the repaired areas are to match as close as possible to their existing surroundings. If additional tasks beyond those included in this scope are discovered, then additional funds may be allocated. Before any additional work is performed, written county approval will be needed. There is no federal funding for this project. Replace the bathroom door with a matching interior, wheelchair accessible, door unit. Include the trim, caulk, paint and new door hardware. Relocate the electrical switches as needed. Replace the tub with a paneled wall shower unit as per Escambia County Code. Repair surrounding areas, add grab bars and replace the tub faucet with a new, handheld, shower valve set. Install a new handicap accessible pedestal sink with a new faucet. Install a new comfort height toilet with a new floor flange and wax ring. Install all new 1/4 turn brass valves on fixtures, new braided supply lines, and replace any old piping and fittings associated with this repair. Remove existing flooring and prep floors. Install new LVP floor per manufacturer's instruction, include a moisture barrier as needed. Pattern and color are to be determined by the homeowner. Include matching wheelchair accessible transitions strips as needed and any missing base molding and install new shoe molding. Then caulk and paint the trim. Finish the trim, caulking, and paint the existing door. Float and finish the floor. Install a new handicap accessible pedestal sink with a new faucet. Install a new comfort height toilet with a new floor flange and wax ring. Install all new 1/4 turn brass valves on fixtures, new braided supply lines, and replace any old piping and fittings associated with this repair.
