Eastern Municipal Water District is seeking services for the installation of approximately 4,000 water meters and/or metering infrastructure equipment for new customers. Under the City of Perris Annexation agreement, EMWD plans to retrofit or replace approximately 4,000 water meters serving residential, multi-family, commercial, and industrial customers. Currently, EMWD reads approximately 173,500 meters each month using Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) technology, which have been systematically installed or upgraded over the past seventeen years. This project will enhance EMWDs ability to obtain highly accurate and efficient readings for all its customers, further advancing EMWDs commitment to leveraging the full benefits of AMI. Contractor shall be responsible for exchanging existing water meters ranging in size from 5/8 inch to 1 inch. And Work may also include register exchanges, MXU (Endpoint) installations and programming, meter box lid installations or any combination of these, materials and are to be completed in accordance with EMWD policies and procedures.
