This project consists of all work associated with the lump sum and unit price bid for the rehabilitation and construction of Sunset Boulevard and Washington Street including milling existing asphalt, overlay asphalt, localized full depth asphalt pavement repair, driveway replacement, concrete valley gutter replacement, curb and gutter replacements, barrier free ramp replacement/installation, pavement markings, and signage. Project shall include all necessary labor, materials, and testing in accordance with the plans and specifications. All questions proposed through online will be answered at the pre-bid meeting. Following the pre-bid meeting an addendum will be issued with the written responses to all questions. Each respondent shall identify its bid on the outside of the envelope by writing the words: Enclosed Bid Street Maintenance Project - Phase 2 For the CITY OF SHERMAN, TEXAS CIP # 3116 Bid Number 2024-25 September 2024 Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check from a national or state bank in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the City, or an original bid bond in the same amount from a surety company licensed by the State of Texas to act as a Surety and listed on the current U.S. Treasury Listing of Approved Sureties, or a Binder of Insurance executed by a surety company licensed by the State of Texas to act as a surety or its authorized agent as a guarantee that the respondent will enter into a contract and execute a Performance Bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract to respondent. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and responses and to waive any informality in bids and responses received, as deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
