University of Michigan Health RAHS Armstrong Middle School DCC Construction is requesting bid proposals on behalf of Kearsley Community Schools for the buildout of an existing space into a new University of Michigan Health RAHS Clinic. The scope of work will include (but not limited to) the following: The following scope items may not align with the specific Bid Categories! Selective Demo Concrete Aluminum Storefront/Glass Painting Flooring Fire Suppression Casework/Solid Surfaces HVAC/ Plumbing Electrical/Fire Alarm Construction Timeline Work will commence Fall/Winter 2024 and is expected to be completed Winter/Spring 2025 Post bid interviews will be conducted the week of September 30th, 2024. Questions regarding the bid or contract documents shall be directed to: bids@dccconstruction.com DCC Construction, Inc. 10266 Lapeer Rd. Davison, MI 48423 1. Progress Cleanup is required every day at a minimum or as directed by DCC Construction. Cleanup includes putting away and properly storing all tools and equipment, rolling up extension cords, properly covering and storing materials waiting for installation. All garbage/dunnage/shipping materials and associated debris generated by installations is to be properly disposed within the provided dumpsters. At no time will shipping containers, crates, materials, piles of debris, tarps, boxes, etc. be left on site, unattended and unsecured, subject to unsafe conditions. Each Trade Contractor shall ensure that every work area is properly clean, organized, and safe every night. Cleanup is to be a part of the daily routine for every trade working onsite. If contractors do not maintain their work areas or provide the proper resources for our daily clean-up, DCC Construction will provide a warning to the contractor. If the problem continues after the warning, DCC Construction will provide labor and charge all costs accordingly. 2. Project Specific Safety Program o It is a fundamental value of DCC Construction that safety is always a primary consideration. It is our policy and top priority to do everything in our power to provide a safe workplace for all workers and to mandate the use of good safety practices. Adherence to established safety standards and procedures is always required of everyone on the project site. o Required site PPE includes hardhat, safety glasses, reflective clothing, long pants, shirts with sleeves, closed-toe shoes, and gloves at all times. Fall protection is required at heights more than six (6) feet. o The Project Safety Manual addresses the following topics: . Responsibility . Trade Contractor Safety Programs . Discipline Policy . Weekly Safety Meetings . Safety Inspections . Drug/ Substance Abuse Testing Program . Hazardous Material Control Program . Existing Hazardous Material . Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing .
