Work Included: Park improvements including pathways, electrical service upgrades, site lighting, security cameras and perimeter access controls. 1. The following as well as the current Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials, including all addenda, of the City of Buffalo Department of Public Works and New York State Department of Transportation shall become a part of and shall apply to this Contract. 2. The Contractor will not proceed with any construction until his proposed work schedule is approved by the Engineer. 3. During construction, the Contractor must provide safe access to all driveways whenever feasible. 4. The Contractor is to coordinate project activities with all public and private utilities, other contractors, private industries, the Buffalo Fire Department, the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, the Buffalo Police Department and/or any other public agencies in the Contract area. Prior to excavation, the Contractor shall request from all utility companies the locations of all their lines. 5. The Contractor is required to comply with current codes set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) at all locations requiring handicap ramps. 6. The Contractor shall repair or be responsible for all repairs made of all damages incurred by the Contractor during the construction at the Contractor's sole expense. 7. The City reserves the right to increase/decrease quantities as necessary at "no extra cost" to the City. 8. All the work will be performed under one contract. 9. Construction work hours shall be between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by Chapter #293 of the City Charter. 10. The Contractor shall generally limit his work days to eight (8) hours per day. Longer workdays may be permitted as necessary given permission of the E.I.C.
